Today was the last day of my vacation before I have to return to my day job tomorrow. Considering the fact that I didn’t have anything planned for the day, I assumed that it wouldn’t be a very interesting end to my holiday, but boy was I wrong! For starters, I got a great surprise when fellow classic film blogger of Journeys in Classic Film fame and host of the incredible Ticklish Business podcast Kristen Lopez posted our episode, discussing the Esther Williams film On An Island With You (1948), over a week before I expected! As you might know, this isn’t the first time that I’ve recorded an episode for Ticklish Business since I was brought on as a cohost. The first episode that I recorded was an analysis of Three Smart Girls (1936), which due to technical issues is since gone with the wind, but I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this shiny new installment! If you enjoy our blogs, Esther Williams, or classic cinema in general, you can give the episode a listen here, and if you love it as much as I loved recording it, please consider supporting the podcast on Patreon!
After that exhilarating event, I decided that it was high time that I expanded my social media accessibility. I already have plans to create a Facebook specifically for this blog and its posts, but I thought it’d be even better to finally overcome my moans and groans and create a Twitter for myself and Musings of a Classic Film Addict. I’d spent years being that person who felt like they were too special to join and sum up their thoughts into a few characters, but with enticing happenings on Twitter like #TCMParty and more, I knew it had become too good to pass up. So, without further ado, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter @classicfilmgeek! If you’re a classic film blogger or post about old movies in general and I haven’t followed you yet, let me know and I’d be more than happy to do so! I’ll be adding my handle on my About page, and stay tuned for more developments from me!
Welcome on Twitter! I must admit I subscribed in 2011 but didn’t really start using it before creating my blog. It’s a good platform to promote your stuff. I listened to the whole podcast. It was very interesting. Young and Kristen sound like fun and clever persons!
